  • I would like to go see minimonstertruck instead of booking him. Is that possible?
    • Yes. Minmonstertruck is gearing up to attend all kinds of family oriented events; Check our online calendar to see where we will be appearing! Insert link   {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • How long does minimonstertruck stay?
    • The amount of time that minimonstertruck stays depends on the event. Birthday parties are a maximum of two hours long for the quoted rate. Additional time is available and the rates will be agreed to in advance by both parties. The two hours starts with unloading and loading. When we bring our “barrel train” rides, we have hook up the train. Plan to have the kids available to watch these fun events and maybe even help by using our remote control winch or deciding the order of our train cars!     {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • What does minimonstertruck do when it arrives?
    • We unload the truck with ramps and then let the kids see it up close while it’s still cool. Then we drive it around for a short time just so the kids can see it move. From there the schedule is open to whatever your needs are
      • - Performing
      • - Photo shoots
      • - Barrel Train Ride
    • We begin the loading process in the final 15 minutes of our agreed to period of stay. Remember, we appear valleywide so check our online calendar! Insert link in order to make sure we are available. We sometimes book events after yours and must allow for travel time which is reflected in the time that we are booked. Although we will try to stay if requested, you are required to check the schedule if you think you would like us to stay longer than our original, “agreed to”, time period.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • How big is minimonstertruck?
    • The truck is 53” wide. Your side gate needs to be at least 5 feet wide (60 inches) if you expect minimonstertruck to make it through the gate and into your back yard for your child’s party.
    • The truck is just over eight feet long and it fits in a pickup truck bed.      {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • How do I know if minimonstertruck will work in the space I have available?
    • This question has different answers for different uses of the truck. We can check the available space you have for outdoor dynamic (truck is moving) performances if you provide your address. You can also measure it yourself manually or use Google earth’s measurement tool (it looks like a ruler on Google earth’s free internet software located at: http://www.google.com/earth/index.html)
      • For a static (stationary) display such as a tradeshow booth or for photo shots, count on the truck needing a space of twelve foot long by six foot wide for best viewing and photos. The truck will fit diagonally in a 10x10 booth however it is a tight squeeze
      • For a static sign display in the back of the El Camino that minimonstertruck rides in plan on five adjacent parking spaces for best viewing or one parking space if things are really tight such as a cruise-in car show
      • For dynamic presentations such as a kiddie train ride or watching minimonstertruck perform
        • kiddie train ride
          • We tow a series of “barrel sized” ride trailers or “train cars” that seat one or two children depending on the size
        • watching minimonstertruck perform
          • we run over objects such as
            • Crushing Power Wheels ride-in toys
            • Other soft objects (minimonstertruck’s tires don’t like hard or sharp objects especially those made of metal)     {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Is minimonstertruck loud?
    • My children are now teenagers so define “loud” if you will; especially since its been a while since my kids were at the screaming age. Minimonstertruck is as loud as a lawnmower. That could scare some of the younger ones and initiate testosterone flashes in adult males.      {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Is minimonstertruck fast?
    • The basis for minimonstertruck is a lawn tractor. However, minmonstertruck is owned by a male with two sons so you never know what speed it will be modified to achieve. Currently it’s rated at 11 MPH. Rides are always conducted at low speeds! Show speeds are kept to a minimum based on the event.        {back to questions}  {back to main page}

  • Can we use the street in front of my house for rides or performances?
    • Thus far this is an unknown. We are investigating laws and insurance requirements. Performances are limited to private property only at this time. Therefore, city parks, schools, and streets are not available for performances.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • What are the costs for minimonstertruck?
    • Costs are posted on the main page. Costs are based on travel to your location that we are to appear to for private parties. Fairs and public events of that nature are not charged travel fees. Minimonstertruck is a mobile business that follows weather that averages 80 degrees average daily temperature throughout Colorado and Arizona…..although a California tour would be of interest.      {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Is there a deposit required?
    • Yes. There is a nonrefundable deposit of 50% for appearances that you solicit. If we request to come to your event, the deposit is negotiable.     {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Will minimonstertruck leave any trace or damage to my lawn, sidewalk, or driveway?
    • Minimonstertruck might leave tracks on lawns or on concrete. Concrete may see rubber tread marks that can be viewed as a good thing for your child to remember their special day. Tight turns and constantly passing over areas could result in loss of grass or disturbance of landscaping rock. Ruts are possible if the land is wet. Our contract allows you to limit the amount of trace left behind…..or maximize it if you wish.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Can I buy my own minimonster truck?
    • The one company that made similar trucks is no longer producing them. Minimonstertruck is like Tigger, “and the wonderful thing about Tiggers is, I’m the only one!” We are planning to make minimonstertrucks in the future. Keep checking our website for updates.     {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Can we ride in or sit on minimonstertruck?
    • You cannot ride on or in minimonstertruck. There is no passenger seating available. There is only room for the driver.
    • We do not allow anyone to climb on or sit in minimonstertruck. Photo opportunities are of the child posed next to the truck.     {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • What if it rains or snows on the day of my party?
  • Can my child operate the winch?
    • The winch does have a remote control and we are considering how to let a child safely winch our truck remotely. We also need to verify the insurance will cover the child using the winch.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Will you tow my float in a parade?
    • Soitenly. It depends on the size of the float as our truck can pull limited load sizes. We have yet to determine a weight rating of the load that we can pull. We are working on that limit. Also, the pull limit will vary depending on if the load has brakes or not.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • How many riders can minimonstertruck pull?
    • We are anticipating up to 10 barrel train cars for mini monster truck. Seating will vary between 1 to 2 children.
  • Can minimonstertruck come to a park or a place other than my home?
    • We are not authorized to use minimonstertruck in public places at this time. Therefore, we only bring minmonstertruck to privately owned locations where we have the owner’s permission to operate.    {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Is minimonstertruck insured?
    • Yes. We purchase the insurance for the truck and insure it ourselves. Insurance does vary based on laws and events however we handle the insurance. For instance, some parades require a certain amount of insurance coverage. We incorporate the insurance cost into our fees. Customers are not required to purchase any additional insurance however we do plan to investigate options for selling additional insurance or guiding you to purchase it from your insurance agent. If you care to investigate yourself, ask your agent about a temporary event insurance “rider”.        {back to questions}  {back to main page}
  • Does minimonstertruck have a photographer?
    • We don’t have a photographer. We will try to bring two additional digital cameras to our events and photograph during periods we are not performing our normal duties of loading, driving, etc. We will do our own photoshoots for you or you can take the photos yourself. We can transfer photos via memory sticks and try to carry extras for you to purchase if you’d like to keep them. Memory stick photo transfers are free and photo shoots are included in the appearance fees. If we have to email or post photos to a website the fee is ten cents per photo ($0.10/photo).      {back to questions}  {back to main page}
